Command-Line Interface

Linux has always been considered superior in this area. Most Linux distributions come with powerful terminal shells such as Bash or Zsh, which provide deep control over the system and access to a vast set of Unix-based tools. Developers can automate repetitive tasks, manage files and processes, and even interact with remote servers, all from the command line.

Windows at first lacked a robust command-line interface. However, this changed with the introduction of PowerShell. While PowerShell has improved the CLI experience, it still lags behind the Unix philosophy and ecosystem that Linux offers. However, the recent integration of the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) allows users to run a Linux terminal within Windows, a welcome sight for some users.
